Two men have been arrested for allegedly scamming over Rs 110 million by falsely promising to send people to the UK for foreign employment.
The arrested are:
- Laxman Parajuli (44) from Ratuwamai Municipality-10, Morang
- Arunraj Sharma (47) from Sabaila Municipality-12, Dhanusha
They were arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office on Jestha 25 from Narephant, Kathmandu.
According to police, the duo collected Rs 110.6 million from 38 individuals under the false pretense of arranging employment in the UK.
They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal for further investigation and legal action.
