3 Construction Companies Blacklisted Including 2 Foreign Firms

On 20th Jestha in Kathmandu, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office has blacklisted three construction companies—two foreign and one local. This decision was made during a meeting on Monday to ensure fair and transparent public procurement.

The companies blacklisted are Japan‘s Marushin Shitaka Construction, India’s PH-SMNS JV, and Nepal’s Shankarmali Nirman Service. Marushin and PH-SMNS will stay on the blacklist for two years, while Shankarmali will be blacklisted for one year.

Being on the blacklist means these companies cannot participate in any government procurement activities during their banned period. This move is aimed at improving accountability and quality in public construction projects. Stay tuned for more updates on procurement and construction news.
