Police in Makwanpur arrested four individuals with 1,074 kilograms of illegal marijuana from Kailash Rural Municipality-5, Kathare, on Monday. The arrested are Haribahadur Waiba (73), Buddhi Bahadur Pakhrin (48), Arun Gole (34), and Rajendra Lama (19), all local residents. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau Koteshwor and Area Police Office Palung raided several homes and found 54 sacks of marijuana. Three other suspects—Gokarna Paudel, Manbahadur Moktan, and Somlal Gole—managed to escape and are currently on the run.
