Due to the rising temperatures and worsening heatwave, Badganga and Buddhabhumi municipalities in Kapilvastu have declared a 4-day school holiday.
The decision was made to protect students’ health and well-being, as the intense heat is negatively affecting their learning environment and safety.
All schools in both municipalities will remain closed from Tuesday, June 10 to Friday, June 13 (Jestha 27–30).
According to Khimbahadur Jisi, Education Officer of Badganga Municipality, the holiday will be adjusted later by deducting from the monsoon vacation.
