The body of a 60-year-old woman from Sundarharaicha-5, Morang, was found in a forest. The deceased has been identified as Chandrakala Limbu of Sundarharaicha-5, Dipu.
According to the Morang District Police Office, Chandrakala had gone to the forest on Monday evening to collect grass and firewood. When she didn’t return home, locals began searching for her and discovered her body on Tuesday morning around 6 AM.
Locals suspect she might have been attacked and killed by a wild elephant. However, the police have stated that investigations are ongoing.
Earlier, on Poush 5, a 40-year-old woman from Sundarharaicha-7, Gangamaya Magar (Shrestha), also died due to a wild elephant attack.
