The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU), a student organization close to the CPN (UML), has decided to hold its 24th General Convention in the upcoming month of Jestha (May-June).
In a meeting of the second permanent committee held on Monday, President Samik Kumar Badal informed that the convention will take place from Jestha 1st to 4th.
According to him, the location of the convention has not yet been determined.
Earlier, the convention was scheduled to be held within the month of Chaitra (March-April). However, due to the student union elections taking place in Chaitra, the schedule has been adjusted to inaugurate the convention on the occasion of Student’s Day, Jestha 1st.
“Since it will be hot in Jestha, the convention will likely take place in either Kathmandu or Chitwan. However, after the student union elections, the central committee will hold a meeting to finalize the location and agenda of the convention,” he said.
