A teenager riding a bicycle has died after being hit by a motorcycle in Kailali.
On Wednesday night, a motorcycle with registration number SuPra 01009 Pa 9076 hit a bicycle at Samjhana Chowk in Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-2, along the East-West Highway.
According to Kailali police spokesperson DSP Kabindra Singh Bohara, 16-year-old Dinesh Timilsina, a resident of Lamkichuha Municipality-10, who was riding on the back of the bicycle, died from the accident.
He suffered severe injuries in the collision and passed away while undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College.
Three others, including the motorcycle rider, were injured in the accident. The injured individuals are 25-year-old motorcycle rider Nabin Chaudhary, 22-year-old pillion rider Mangal Rajput from Ashapur-8, Bardiya, and 15-year-old bicycle rider Lokesh Bhandari from Lamkichuha Municipality-10.
Among them, the motorcycle rider, who is in critical condition, is receiving treatment in Kohalpur, while the other two are being treated in Kailali, according to the police.
