Ajith Kumar’s highly awaited action film, Vidaamuyarchi, has officially hit theatres on February 6, creating a buzz among fans. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film has garnered significant attention, with the Tamil Nadu government granting special 9 AM shows for the eagerly anticipated release.
The film’s plot, set against the stunning landscapes of Azerbaijan, features an ensemble cast that includes Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Vijay Ramya. Adding to the excitement, music for Vidaamuyarchi is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked on hits like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Darbar. The film has been certified U/A by the CBFC, making it accessible to a wide audience.
Expected to have a grand opening, Vidaamuyarchi is projected to earn a staggering Rs 40 crore on its first day at the box office. The film was originally set for a January 2025 release, but was delayed due to “unavoidable circumstances.” With a hefty production budget of Rs 200 crore and Ajith Kumar’s remuneration estimated between Rs 110-120 crore, the film is set to make a huge impact. Already, advance bookings have soared with nearly Rs 8.86 crore generated from the sale of 4-8 lakh tickets across 5863 shows, according to Sacnilk. Fans are eagerly lining up to catch the action-packed drama that promises to be one of the biggest releases of the year.
