According to a report by Pinkvilla, Farah Khan is currently developing a script that could serve as the perfect sequel to the original. If everything falls into place, the film could see the return of the beloved franchise with a fresh storyline.
Sources suggest that Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, is actively working on the project. Interestingly, Main Hoon Na was the first film produced under the banner of Red Chillies, which Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan co-own. Now, the same production house is reportedly preparing for the sequel, sparking excitement among fans on social media.
Reports indicate that Shah Rukh is impressed with Farah’s vision for Main Hoon Na 2 and has encouraged his in-house team to develop a strong script. He has reportedly emphasized the need for the sequel to be even more powerful than the first installment. The scriptwriting process is in its early stages, and the first draft is expected to be ready by mid-2025, after which further decisions will be made.
Shah Rukh and Farah have previously collaborated on Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. If Main Hoon Na 2 materializes, it will mark their fourth film together.
