Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has announced his retirement from One-Day International (ODI) cricket. He will now focus on T20 International cricket
Stoinis was included in Australia’s 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, starting in February in Pakistan. His decision to retire from ODIs has come as a major blow to Australia, especially with Mitchell Marsh already ruled out due to injury and captain Pat Cummins’ participation in doubt.
The 35-year-old Stoinis has played 71 ODIs, scoring 1,495 runs, including one century, and taking 48 wickets.
