A two-year-old child died after being hit by a school bus in Kanchanpur. The accident occurred on Sunday evening at around 5:15 PM in Khairighat, Belauri Rural Municipality-3.
According to the police, the child was hit by a bus (number Su Pra 01-001 Kha 3610) that was traveling from Belauri to Kolkata.
The victim has been identified as Sushant Kunwar, the two-year-old son of resident Min Bahadur Kunwar. He was struck by a bus belonging to Gyan Sadhana Boarding School and died on the spot.
The police have taken the bus under control, but the driver is on the run. Authorities are searching for the driver and continuing their investigation.
