The 7th edition of the Bagmati Gold Cup National Football Tournament will start on Falgun 3. Earlier, the Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee had planned to begin the tournament on Falgun 1, but due to incomplete preparations, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) rescheduled the event.
Now, the tournament will run from Falgun 3 to Falgun 13, according to committee chairman Rahar Singh Thing. The matches will be held at Shahid Smriti Stadium in Jhurjhure, Bagmati Rural Municipality-4. In previous years, the tournament was organized at Janata Secondary School, Faparbari.
The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakh, while the runner-up will get Rs. 5 lakh. A total of 10 teams will participate, including 7 A Division teams and 3 teams from other regions. The best player of the tournament will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh 1 thousand.
Last year, Machhindra Club won the Bagmati Gold Cup.
