When Karan Johar revealed that Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, would be making his Bollywood debut, fans were buzzing with excitement. However, the intrigue doubled when his first co-star, Khushi Kapoor, shared a welcoming mirror selfie with Ibrahim, affectionately nicknamed “Iggy Potter” by her. This was soon followed by a poster from their upcoming film Nadaaniyan, where the duo looked like college students sitting on a football field, exuding youthful charm. The film’s first track, Ishq Mein, showed off the undeniable chemistry between Ibrahim and Khushi, giving off the vibe of a couple deeply in love. But does that reflect their roles in the movie? Well, not exactly. Here’s the scoop!
In Nadaaniyan, while scrolling through Netflix (where the film will stream), we found the plot description that hinted at an interesting twist. Khushi’s character, Pia, is described as a “loveable rich girl,” whose life takes a turn when her friends turn on her because of a misunderstanding. To fix things, she hires Ibrahim’s character, Arjun, a career-focused student, to pretend to be her boyfriend. The premise definitely has potential, but we’ll have to wait for the film’s release to confirm if this is indeed how the story plays out.
As Ibrahim prepares for his grand debut, Khushi Kapoor is also making waves with her first theatrical release, Loveyapa. Co-starring Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, this rom-com tells the story of a young couple, Baani and Gucci (played by Khushi and Junaid), who want to marry but face a major hurdle when Baani’s father challenges them to swap phones for 24 hours. Khushi’s stellar performance and expressive acting have earned her a lot of praise, making her a rising star in the industry.
Fans are clearly excited for both Khushi and Ibrahim, and we can’t wait to see what these two newcomers have in store for us in their respective films!
