French club PSG has advanced to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. PSG secured their place by thrashing Brest 7-0 in the second leg of the playoffs, progressing with a dominant 10-0 aggregate score.
Bradley Barcola, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, Desire Doue, Nuno Mendes, Gonçalo Ramos, and Senny Mayulu each scored a goal in PSG’s victory. After netting twice in the first half, PSG added five more goals in the second half.
This marks the first time in Champions League history that seven different players have scored in a single match. PSG had previously won the first-leg match 3-0 at Brest’s home ground.
In another match last night, Italian club Juventus suffered a shocking elimination from the playoffs after losing to PSV. PSV secured a 3-1 victory at home.
Despite winning the first leg 2-1, Juventus failed to maintain their advantage and were ultimately defeated 4-3 on aggregate.
With this, the Champions League playoff matches have now concluded.
