Singer Durgesh Thapa, best known for his hit song “Dushman Hereko Herai…”, is currently busy with numerous musical events across the country. Despite his fame as a singer, Durgesh prefers to be known as a performer and is often booked for stage shows almost every day of the month.
On Friday, when contacted, Durgesh was in Salyan, with performances lined up for Saturday in Kathmandu and Nawalparasi. He had also posted a video on social media earlier in the week, showing him in a helicopter.
When asked if he was flying by helicopter for a stage performance, Durgesh confirmed, saying, “Yes, I was traveling by helicopter for the show.” However, he clarified that he wasn’t being sponsored for the helicopter ride. “No, I paid for the helicopter myself,” Durgesh shared . “I mistakenly scheduled two shows for the same day, so I had to use the helicopter to manage both.”
Durgesh Thapa’s Dedication to Fans Takes Flight
Durgesh explained that on Wednesday, he had confirmed performances in Makawanpur and Nuwakot. To keep his commitments, he flew from Kathmandu to Makawanpur for the first show and then headed straight to Nuwakot, all by helicopter.
“For me, keeping my promises to the audience is more important than money. I didn’t want to let them down, even if I had to bear the cost of the helicopter ride myself,” Durgesh said, emphasizing his dedication to his fans.
Last month, Durgesh kept his followers updated on his concert schedule through Facebook, ensuring they knew where he would be performing each day between Magh 12 and Falgun 1. His commitment to entertaining his audience remains a priority, no matter the cost.
