BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled the facelifted version of its Atto 3 in India. The updated model brings significant changes to its design and features, including an advanced ADAS system and a refreshed exterior.
Exterior Updates: New Front-End and Refined Rear Design
The Atto 3 facelift features a redesigned front-end with larger air intakes and a new bumper. The headlight design remains unchanged, while the rear now boasts a revised bumper, updated tail lamps with dynamic turn signals, and a new roof spoiler with dual brake lights. The D-pillars are black, and the 18-inch alloy wheels have received a fresh design.
ADAS Upgrade: “God’s Eye C” System for Enhanced Safety
A major upgrade to the Atto 3 is the introduction of the “God’s Eye C” ADAS system, which uses a three-camera block, four surround-view cameras, five mm-wave radars, five long-range cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 29 sensors. These improvements enable the EV to support 10 high-speed navigation scenarios and six intelligent parking modes.
Powertrain and Range: Consistent Performance with a Strong Range
While the powertrain remains unchanged, the Atto 3 continues to offer a 60.5 kWh battery with a 204 hp electric motor, providing a range of 420 km on a single charge. The alternative 49.9 kWh battery option offers a range of 345 km. First launched in India in 2022, the Atto 3 received its first update last year, and this facelift builds on that with further design and feature improvements.
