A shocking incident has come to light in Dhanusha, where the body of a woman was discovered buried inside the prayer room of her own house. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Anjali Yadav from Baniniya in the Laxminiya Rural Municipality.
According to the police, Anjali had been missing for some time, and her husband, Hariram Yadav, had also disappeared. Concerned locals informed the police, prompting an investigation into the matter.
During the search, authorities discovered Anjali’s decomposed body, buried inside a room in her house on Saturday at around 1 PM, said Dhanusha police spokesperson Barun Bahadur Singh.
Police suspect that Hariram Yadav might have killed his wife and buried her body before fleeing. Adding to their concerns, their 10-month-old daughter is also unaccounted for.
Locals revealed that the couple had had a dispute the previous Saturday. The next day, Hariram told neighbors that his wife had gone missing. However, he disappeared on Tuesday, raising suspicions among the villagers.
After noticing the family’s sudden disappearance, locals alerted the police. The authorities have now exhumed the body and sent it to the provincial hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway to locate Hariram and their missing child.
