Machhindra FC has secured a spot in the final of the KP Oli Cup 2025 after a dominant 4-0 victory over host team KP FC in the semifinal. They will face Tribhuvan Army Club in the final on March 3 at Dasarath Rangasala. The match will be attended by legendary football player Gianluigi Buffon. Machhindra FC has won both the first and second editions of the KP Oli Cup, and they now aim to secure their third consecutive title in this year’s tournament.

Match Summary

From the start, Machhindra FC was constantly attacking, putting pressure on KP FC’s defense. Right-back Sanish Shrestha was a key threat, making dangerous runs and delivering crucial passes. The first goal came in the 38th minute when Sanish sent a beautiful cross into the box, which Manish Dangi controlled with his chest before finishing brilliantly. Early in the second half, in the 49th minute, Sanish once again made a great forward run and set up Malik Yusuf for a shot. Although the KP FC goalkeeper saved it, Roshan Rana Magar was quick to react and finished the rebound.

Machhindra continued to dominate, and their relentless attacks forced KP FC into mistakes. In the 85th minute, defender Khem Raj Shrestha fouled Malik Yusuf inside the penalty area, conceding a penalty. Stephane Zamaha stepped up and fired a powerful shot into the top corner to extend the lead. In the 90th minute, Ayush Ghalan delivered a low cross inside the box that KP FC’s four defenders failed to clear, showcasing the defensive struggles that plagued KP FC throughout the match. Zamaha took advantage, skillfully dribbling past two defenders before scoring a stunning goal to seal the victory.
