The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) and Kathmandu Fintech Pvt. Ltd. (KF) have signed an agreement to bring digital transformation to Nepal’s banking sector. This strategic partnership aims to improve leadership, governance, and the adoption of advanced technology in banking.
Who Signed the Agreement?
The agreement was signed at the CBFIN office by CBFIN Director General Roshan Koirala and Kathmandu Fintech Founder Sanjiv Subba. Speaking after the signing, Koirala said that this partnership would help modernize Nepal’s banking system, making it stronger, safer, and more competitive.

He said that this partnership would help improve and expand Nepal’s banking sector. He also highlighted that this collaboration would provide world-class knowledge on digital banking, cybersecurity, and fintech to banking leaders and board members.
What’s Included in the Agreement? The partnership will introduce training programs and high-level conferences for board members of banks and financial institutions. These programs will cover the latest technology, policies, regulations, governance, compliance, financial management, digital banking, fintech adoption, and cybersecurity.
In addition, special leadership training will be conducted to enhance decision-making skills. The agreement also includes projects that will promote banking access, financial literacy, ethical banking practices, and good governance, contributing to Nepal’s economic and social transformation.
