Nepal Police Club continued their winning streak in the Men’s PM Cup with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Gandaki Province on Wednesday at Siddhartha Cricket Stadium, Bhairahawa.
Chasing a target of 93 runs, Police reached the total in 16 overs, losing just three wickets. Captain Dipendra Singh Airee led the charge with an explosive 54 off 23 balls, smashing three fours and six sixes. Opener Arjun Saud remained unbeaten on 18, while Dilip Nath contributed 10 runs. Amit Shrestha managed seven, whereas Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed without scoring.
Earlier, Gandaki struggled with the bat and were bowled out for just 92 runs in 23.2 overs. Arjun Kumal was the lone fighter, scoring 48 runs off 63 balls with eight boundaries. Rohit Chand and Subash Bhandari added 10 runs each, while the rest of the team failed to reach double digits. Wicketkeeper Sudip Aryal remained not out on seven.
Police’s bowlers put on a stellar performance, with Lalit Rajbanshi taking five wickets for just seven runs in 5.2 overs. Gulsan Jha also impressed, picking up four wickets while conceding 48 runs in 8 overs.
With this win, Nepal Police Club remains unbeaten at the top of the table with 12 points, while Gandaki Province sits at the bottom with just two points from six matches.
