A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on charges of raping a mentally challenged teenage girl in Kailali.
According to reports, the boy, a resident of Kailari Rural Municipality-8, allegedly raped the 15-year-old mentally challenged girl at around 4:30 PM on Wednesday. Upon receiving the information, a police team was deployed, leading to his arrest.
District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kabindra Singh Bohara, stated that the boy has been taken into custody.
The victim has been sent to Seti Provincial Hospital for a medical examination.
