Woman Dies in Jeep Accident in Syangja’s Waling, Driver on the Run

A woman lost her life in a jeep accident that occurred on Sunday morning in Majkot, Waling Municipality-5, Syangja. District Police Chief Shaligram Sharma informed that 48-year-old Dilsara Ale from Hilepani, Waling-7, died on the spot.

The jeep, bearing the registration number Ga 1 Ja 7511, was traveling from Waling to Chapakot when it plunged 150 meters down at around 7:30 AM. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, according to Syangja Police.

As per the police, Dilsara’s body was identified by her younger son. She had traveled to Waling on Saturday to visit a sick relative. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law.

The jeep driver, 27-year-old Suraj Thapa, a resident of Inaskot, Chapakot Municipality-3, who currently resides in Waling-11, is on the run. The police have launched a search operation for him. The exact number of passengers in the jeep remains unknown.
