Houston Weather

Houston Weather: Houston, the largest city in Texas, will experience more humidity and light showers starting Sunday evening. Some areas north of Houston could see stronger storms overnight.

Storm Watch for Northern Areas

The Storm Prediction Center has warned that areas like Brazos Valley and Piney Woods are at slight risk for severe storms. Parts of northern Houston are under a marginal risk. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is active in several northwestern counties until 1 a.m. Monday. The storms could bring strong winds and large hail.

Warmer and More Humid Mornings

After Monday, mornings in Houston will feel warmer. Cool mornings in the 40s and 50s will be replaced by lows in the 60s. This will make mornings feel more humid and warmer than usual.

High Temperatures in the 80s

Afternoon temperatures will rise to the 80s for the next several days. This is higher than the average temperature for this time of year. The mix of heat and moisture from the Gulf will make the air feel hotter and sticky.

More Rain Expected Later This Week

Although early in the week will stay dry, more rain is expected toward the end of the week. A slow cold front could bring showers and storms on Thursday and Friday. Weather experts are still watching the storm timing and strength.

Be Prepared for Weather Changes

Houston residents are advised to check local weather reports regularly, especially Sunday night and Monday morning. It is important to stay informed about any updates and possible changes in the weather forecast.
