Police Search for Durga Prasai

The police are preparing to arrest Durga Prasai, the leader of the protest in Tinkune, who was designated as the commander of the demonstration. They are actively searching for him after the protest, led by Prasai, turned violent.

A senior officer of the Nepal Police confirmed to The Ritible that they are looking for Prasai.

At a press conference held by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday evening, Deputy Secretary Chabilal Rijal also stated that action would be taken against him.

After the Tinkune rally was disrupted, Prasai drove his BA 4208-numbered vehicle out of the protest crowd on his own. In a video, he can be seen driving while shouting, “Come, come.” Not far from him, a large number of police officers were stationed in a restricted area.

Prasai, driving aggressively while using foul language, also insulted the security forces. The police tried to stop his vehicle, but he pushed past them.

Breaking through the restricted area, Prasai’s actions intensified the royalist protest. After breaking through the first police line, security personnel can be seen retreating in the video.

As a result, the situation became tense, leading to vandalism and arson in different areas.
