Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has officially acquired the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Both companies are owned by Musk.

xAI’s Chatbot Already Integrated with X

Before the acquisition, xAI’s chatbot, Grok AI, was already integrated into X. Musk revealed that xAI purchased X through a stock transaction.

Acquisition Value and Future Plans

The deal values xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion. Musk stated that the future of both companies is now closely connected.

According to Musk, the plan is to use X’s social media network to expand xAI’s advanced AI capabilities. This will involve integrating data, models, computing, distribution, and talent.

Musk’s Previous Acquisition of X

Musk had previously acquired X in 2022 for $43 billion. Meanwhile, xAI was founded two years ago and has been rapidly developing AI technologies.
