Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s team has responded after comments made by Sophie Chandauka, the Chair of Sentebale. The statement from Harry and Meghan’s representatives called her remarks “misleading” and “false.”
In a recent interview with Sky News, Sophie Chandauka said that Prince Harry had used his influence after stepping down as co-patron of the charity last week. She suggested that he started a campaign against the charity’s leadership.
However, Prince Harry’s team disagreed, saying his resignation, along with other trustees, happened because of the chair’s poor management. They also denied accusations that Harry used his Netflix show to interfere with a fundraising event or that Meghan caused a scene by attending the event with tennis star Serena Williams.
Harry’s team clarified that these claims were untrue and that the situation has left the charity chair feeling upset. They explained that the venue for the event had changed its terms, which increased the cost, so they had to find a new location with help from Harry’s friend. They also emphasized that Netflix had nothing to do with the charity dispute.
Meanwhile, Meghan faced media criticism for allegedly pushing the charity’s chair away from her husband.
