Rain Cancels Decisive Game

Coach Shakti Gauchan shared his disappointment after the cancelled game, saying the Nepal U-19 Cricket Team had been preparing for a long time with a dream to qualify. “We had a dream and worked hard for it, but luck didn’t support us in the end,” he said. “Life has ups and downs, and now we must move forward and aim higher for the future.”

Team Had High Hopes Against Afghanistan

The Nepal U-19 Cricket Team was confident about winning the match against Afghanistan. Gauchan believed the team had the morale and skill to defeat them. “We made a strong comeback in earlier matches and were aiming to finish on a high note,” he added.

Even after the rain delay, the team remained hopeful that they would get a chance to play and win.

Captain Naren Bhatt also expressed sorrow over the outcome. “We were playing well, the form was good, and everyone had high confidence,” he said. “We didn’t think rain would be such a factor, but our goal was to win that match. Sadly, we couldn’t make it.”

Despite the setback, both Gauchan and Bhatt emphasized that this experience would motivate the Nepal U-19 Cricket Team to come back stronger in future competitions.

This unfortunate end does not define the team’s potential. With continued support and determination, the Nepal U-19 Cricket Team aims to reach new heights in international cricket.
