A heartbreaking road accident in Morang has left a family in shock. A woman lost her life while her younger brother was seriously injured after a motorcycle was hit by a bus.
Bus Hits Motorcycle Coming from Opposite Direction
The accident took place in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality–7, Morang. According to DSP Mohan Bikram Dahal of the Area Police Office, Pathari, a passenger bus from Gorkha Yatayat hit a motorcycle that was coming from the opposite direction.
Woman Dies on the Spot After Crash
The impact was so strong that Kumari Acharya, about 55 years old, died on the spot. She was from Belka Municipality–4, Udayapur, and was sitting on the back of the motorcycle.
Injured Brother Sent to Biratnagar for Treatment
The motorcycle was being ridden by Hari Sharma, around 35 years old, from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–4. He was seriously injured and was immediately taken to Biratnagar for advanced medical treatment.
Victims Were Sister and Brother
Police confirmed that the woman who died and the injured rider are siblings. The tragedy has deeply saddened their family and community.
Bus and Driver Taken Into Police Custody
After the accident, the police took the bus and its driver under control. Authorities are still investigating the case to determine the exact cause of the accident.
