Yang Qianyu’s parents, who both faced health struggles—her father suffered a stroke in 2021 and her mother fell ill a year later—fully supported her decision to return to cycling. Despite knowing that she wouldn’t have the same spotlight she once did, they encouraged her to follow her passion once again.
With a career full of highlights, including a 2017 National Games Madison title and an Asian Road Championships gold medal, Yang Qianyu is focused on regaining her form. She said, “I’m not back to my best yet, but I’m working hard to balance training and recovery.”
Future Goals and Inspiration for the Next Generation
