Newly appointed Education Minister Raghuji Pant is taking the oath of office and secrecy today.
President Ramchandra Paudel will administer the oath to him at 4 PM this afternoon at Shital Niwas.
Pant was appointed as Education Minister by President Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli after UML MP Bidya Bhattarai resigned from the post.
After taking the oath, Pant will officially begin his duties today.
Pant has previous experience as the Minister of Labour.
With Pant’s appointment as Education Minister, State Minister for Energy Purna Bahadur Tamang (Kanchharam) has been removed from his position. The Oli-led government, which was formed on Asar 31 (mid-July), was reshuffled on Wednesday after 10 months.
