A man has been arrested by police for killing his wife by striking her with firewood at Mangalaghat, Ward No. 7 of Beni Municipality.
According to the police, Raju BK, originally from Jaljala Rural Municipality-3, Parbat, and currently residing at Beni Municipality-7, Mangalaghat, killed his 27-year-old wife, Bhagwati BK. After committing the murder around 6:30 AM on Tuesday morning, Raju fled the scene but was later apprehended by police from the forest area of Jyamrukkot, Ward No. 2 of Beni Municipality, informed Inspector Sagar Paudel of the District Police Office, Myagdi.
The body of the deceased has been kept at the mortuary of Provincial Hospital, Beni, for post-mortem.
