Eight people were injured in a jeep accident on the Tamor Corridor road section at Kusetar, Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-3, on Sunday night around 10 PM.
According to police, the jeep (Me 1 Ja 2655) was traveling from Taplejung to Dhankuta when it lost control and fell about 10 feet off a culvert.
The injured include 45-year-old Namkala Phuyal, 47-year-old Jayeshwar Pokharel, 38-year-old Isu Pangeni, and 22-year-old Nikita Phuyal, all from Bharatpur-11, Chitwan. Others injured are Jayeshwar’s 16-year-old son Sirish Pokharel, 46-year-old Sabitri Adhikari, 52-year-old Dipchandra Ghimire, and 45-year-old Navaraj Phuyal, also from Chitwan.
They are being treated at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
