The price of beetroot has increased in the local market. According to data from the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee, the price went up on Monday.
Compared to Sunday, the wholesale price of beetroot rose by Rs. 10 per kilogram. On Sunday, it was sold at Rs. 55 per kg, but on Monday, it reached Rs. 65 per kg in the Kalimati market.
Beetroot is known to be good for health, and nutritionists recommend eating it daily.
It is rich in iron, nitrates, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, vitamin C, vitamin B12, fiber, potassium, and other minerals.
