After delivering two blockbuster hits, Love Today and Dragon, Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan is ready to win hearts across India with his upcoming film, Dude.
A Youthful Entertainer With a Fresh Pairing
Dude is a youth-based entertainer produced by Mythri Movie Makers and marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran. The film stars Mamitha Baiju, known for her role in Primal, as the female lead opposite Pradeep.
The makers recently shared a new poster that showcases the sizzling chemistry between the lead actors. In the poster, Pradeep is seen shirtless while Mamitha stuns in a trendy outfit.
Box Office Clash with Big Names
Initially expected to clash with Dhanush’s Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Dude will now compete at the box office with Suriya’s upcoming untitled film. It will also face competition from Bison, a sports drama featuring Dhruv Vikram and directed by Mari Selvaraj.
A Star-Studded Cast and Pan-India Release
Apart from Pradeep and Mamitha, Dude also stars Sarathkumar, Rohini Molleti, and Hridhu Haroon in important roles.
Sharing the poster on social media, Pradeep wrote,
“It will be a Dude Diwali in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.”
This confirms that Dude is being planned as a pan-India release across five languages.
Pradeep’s Passion for Cinema
Pradeep Ranganathan is not just a successful actor but also a talented director and writer. In an interview with OTT Play, he said:
“I don’t think I can ever give up one for the other… I love both acting and direction. I even edit my short films and enjoy every part of the process.”
More Projects on the Way
Besides Dude, Pradeep is also working on Love Insurance Kompany, where he will be seen alongside Krithi Shetty. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film also stars S J Suryah, Yogi Babu, and Gouri G Kishan.
