Prime Video has revealed the official logo for its upcoming NBA coverage, signaling the start of an exciting 11-year global media rights deal. Beginning in October 2025, Indian Prime members will be able to stream top NBA action at no extra cost, adding to Prime Video’s growing list of live sports offerings.
What Indian Fans Will Get
Under this new deal, Prime members in India will get access to 67 regular-season NBA games every year. The package also includes all seven games from the Knockout Rounds of the Emirates NBA Cup, every game of the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, first and second round matchups of the NBA Playoffs, and the Conference Finals for six of the 11 years.
Star-Studded NBA Studio Team
Amazon Prime Video is building a powerhouse studio team to cover the NBA. Sports journalist Taylor Rooks will lead the coverage, joined by NBA legends and Hall-of-Famers such as Steve Nash, Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Haslem. WNBA superstar Candace Parker will also join as an analyst this fall and will head Prime Video’s WNBA coverage starting in 2026.
NBA League Pass Joins Prime Video
In addition to the included games, Prime Video will also become a global partner and third-party platform for NBA League Pass. Fans in the U.S. and internationally will be able to subscribe to the League Pass through Prime Video to stream more live and on-demand NBA games, available at an extra monthly cost.
WNBA Streaming Arrives in 2026
From 2026, Prime members in India will get exclusive access to 30 regular-season WNBA games each year. The coverage will also include the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship, one first-round playoff series annually, seven Semi-Final series, and three WNBA Finals during the 11-year partnership.
A New Home for Basketball Fans
With NBA and WNBA games joining its lineup alongside New Zealand Cricket, Prime Video is becoming a major hub for live sports in India. More details about the full broadcast schedule will be shared ahead of the NBA season launch in October 2025.
