A 3-year-old boy died after being hit by a car in New Baneshwor.
According to Kathmandu District Police spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohora, the victim has been identified as Shivansh Jha.
The car, with the number Bagmati Province-01-031 Cha 9563, hit the child at Katyani Chowk in New Baneshwor while heading toward Bhimsengola.
Shivansh was seriously injured and taken to KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, where he died during treatment.
Originally from India, the boy was living in Kathmandu with his family. Police have arrested the driver, Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, and started an investigation.
