Jhapa FC continued their impressive run in the Shahid Smarak B Division League with a 2-0 win on Sunday. The match was held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar, where Jhapa FC’s Pradeep Budathoki starred by scoring both goals in the second half.
Pradeep Budathoki shines for Jhapa FC
After a goalless first half, Budathoki broke the deadlock in the 59th minute to give Jhapa FC the lead. He then sealed the win with his second goal in the 7th minute of injury time, earning the Player of the Match award for his standout performance.
With this result, Jhapa FC have climbed to fourth position in the league table with 18 points from 12 matches.
Tusal sink deeper into relegation zone
The loss leaves Shree Tusal Youth Club in 13th place with just 11 points from 12 games, still stuck in the relegation zone. With only one match remaining, avoiding relegation will now be a difficult task for them.
Madhyapur secure safety with narrow win
In another fixture held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Madhyapur Youth Association edged Bansbari Youth Club 1-0, thanks to a 65th-minute goal by Sahil KC.
The win takes Madhyapur to eighth place with 15 points from 12 matches, confirming their stay in the B Division League for another season. Razat Tiwari was named Man of the Match for his solid display.
Bansbari also have 15 points from 12 matches but are now in ninth position.
