Kanye West is once again making headlines after a storm of controversy erupted over the weekend. The rapper’s unreleased album, WW3, was reportedly leaked in full on Discord on Sunday. The leak occurred shortly after a tracklist from another of his upcoming projects, Cuck, appeared on YouTube. Both leaks have sparked heated backlash, especially due to the inclusion of a highly controversial song that has since been banned on several platforms.
Song Featuring Hitler References Sparks Outrage
One of Kanye’s new songs, allegedly praising Adolf Hitler, has ignited outrage online. While platforms like YouTube quickly removed the track, it remains accessible and is gaining massive traction on Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter). Critics have slammed the song for glorifying Nazi ideology and spreading dangerous rhetoric under the guise of art.
The YouTube leak of the Cuck tracklist was accompanied by a scathing message from hackers condemning the rapper. The hackers vowed to donate proceeds from a group buy of the leaked album to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, adding, “Glorifying fascism is not art. ‘Love speech’ is just an excuse to say outrageous s**t for attention.” They further insulted Kanye with an expletive-filled tirade.
Kanye Responds: “It Proves Everything I’m Saying”
Kanye responded to the leaks and backlash on Monday via X, writing:
“Somebody got a drive and threw it on YouTube and said this is CUCK. What I love about getting blocked on DSPs and having songs leaked and shows cancelled is… it proves everything I’m saying and why I’m saying.”
The rapper did not directly address the Nazi references in his music, but seemed to imply that the pushback validates his beliefs and actions.
Korea Concert Cancelled Amid Controversy
Adding to the fallout, Kanye’s concert in South Korea—scheduled for May 31 in Incheon—has been cancelled. Coupang, a leading South Korean e-commerce platform, along with ticket vendor Interpark, announced the cancellation on Monday, citing “recent controversies involving the artist.”
Though they didn’t go into specifics, the decision follows mounting criticism over Kanye’s alleged glorification of Hitler. Coupang has also pulled all Yeezy merchandise from its platform and promised full refunds to ticket holders.
Clarification on Song “Uncle”
In another tweet, Kanye sought to clear up speculation about a track titled “Uncle.” He confirmed that the song is not part of the Cuck album and denied rumors that it is about his wife, Bianca Censori: “UNCLE is not on CUCK and is not about my wife,” he wrote.
