In a fresh security scare, a 23-year-old man was caught entering Bollywood star Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai, earlier this week, police officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to authorities, the man, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh from Chhattisgarh, first appeared near Salman Khan’s Bandra residence around 9:45 AM on May 20. Security personnel stationed outside asked him to leave, but Jitendra reportedly reacted angrily, smashing his mobile phone on the ground.
Later that evening, around 7:15 PM, Jitendra attempted to enter Galaxy Apartments using a car registered to another resident of the building. However, security stopped him again and handed him over to the Bandra police.
During interrogation, Jitendra revealed that his intention was to meet Salman Khan, and he tried to hide when police prevented him from doing so. Following his arrest, a case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing. It remains unclear whether Salman Khan was at home during the incident.
Salman Khan has been living under tight security since a violent attack at his residence last year. Over recent months, multiple threats have been made against the actor, prompting authorities to boost protection around him.
In November last year, Salman Khan received a chilling threat message reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding a ₹5 crore payment or an apology to ensure his safety. The police continue to take all threats seriously as they investigate potential motives and sources behind these incidents. Salman returned to Mumbai last week, accompanied by increased security measures.
