Popular Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has landed in legal trouble after his ex-manager, Vipin Kumar, accused him of physical assault and verbal abuse. According to Vipin, the actor called him to a parking area late at night and attacked him, using foul language during the altercation.
Vipin claims the attack left him injured and in need of hospital treatment. He has filed formal complaints with both FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) and AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists).
Reason Behind the Clash
Vipin revealed that the incident stemmed from a disagreement over a social media post. Despite the success of Marco, Unni Mukundan was reportedly frustrated over a lack of new film offers in recent months. Vipin, who works as a PR consultant—not a paid manager—had earlier promoted another actor’s film, Narivetta starring Tovino Thomas.
“Unni didn’t like my post praising Narivetta. That night, he called me and told me not to work for him anymore. I agreed and reminded him I’m not his paid manager. I’ve worked on promotions for several films and artists, and he knows that well,” Vipin stated.
Complaint Filed, Investigation Likely
With the complaint now officially filed, the entertainment industry is waiting to see how both FEFKA and AMMA respond. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan has not yet issued a public statement regarding the allegations.
