Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and opposition leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held a phone conversation on Monday regarding the ongoing obstruction in the Parliament caused by the visit visa scandal.
According to Maoist MP Madhav Sapkota, the Prime Minister called Dahal while an opposition party meeting was underway at the Parliament building. During the call, Oli urged Dahal to help resume the regular business of the House by ending the obstruction.
However, Dahal strongly responded that the Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak must resign and that the Prime Minister should address the Parliament about the visa scam before any discussions on ending the obstruction can move forward.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has requested time to speak in Parliament to present his side of the story.
