Abhishek Banerjee and Shubham Vardhan Lead the Riveting Thriller

The trailer plunges viewers into a tense moment where a baby is abducted from Jhumpa (Mia Maelzer) while she sleeps at a lonely railway station. What follows is a gripping chase as brothers Raman (Shubham Vardhan) and Gautam (Abhishek Banerjee) join Jhumpa in a relentless pursuit through India’s remote, unforgiving backcountry. Facing hostile locals and dangerous terrain, their quest quickly becomes a battle not just for the missing child but for survival itself.

With raw emotional power and unrelenting intensity, the trailer immerses audiences in a world where lines between justice and revenge blur. Will Jhumpa reunite with her child? What challenges lie ahead for Raman and Gautam?

Director Karan Tejpal Shares His Vision

Karan Tejpal expressed, “Stolen is a raw, honest story about two contrasting worlds colliding unexpectedly. On the surface, it’s a taut action thriller, but its emotional weight lingers long after the credits roll. Set against a rugged, stark landscape, the film is elevated by powerhouse performances from Abhishek, Mia, and Shubham. The overwhelming response from international film festivals has been incredibly humbling and motivating. Having the support of visionary filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane has reinforced my creative faith. I’m excited that Prime Video will bring Stolen to over 240 countries and territories worldwide.”

Cast Reflections on the Film

Abhishek Banerjee shared, “Stolen represents India’s take on raw, genre-driven storytelling. The moment I heard the story, I wanted to be at the heart of it, just like my character Gautam. Karan is a fresh and exciting directorial voice, and I believe he’s here for the long haul. Producer Gaurav Dhingra’s passion for quality filmmaking is inspiring. I’m thrilled global audiences will experience this gripping thriller on Prime Video.”

Mia Maelzer added, “This film has been a profound journey for me as an actor. Karan’s sensitive direction allowed us to bring authenticity and emotional depth to the story. Playing Jhumpa, a complex and layered character, challenged me in many ways. The positive festival reception has been encouraging, and I’m glad Prime Video is making this unique story accessible worldwide.”

Shubham Vardhan reflected, “The script of Stolen stayed with me from the moment I read it. Playing Raman was an emotionally demanding yet rewarding experience. Karan’s clear vision and trust gave us the freedom to explore our characters deeply. I’m grateful that Prime Video is now the global platform for this powerful story to reach far and wide.”
