Not Cop Universe—Golmaal 5 Comes Next!
While Rohit Shetty is currently busy directing a cop film with John Abraham, he’ll soon shift gears from action to comedy. According to veteran comedian Johnny Lever, Rohit’s favorite comedy franchise Golmaal is set to return with its fifth installment! In a recent Zoom interview, Johnny confirmed that Golmaal 5 will begin shooting in November 2025. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2026.
Devgn Busy with Films, Rohit Wrapping Up Cop Drama
At the moment, Ajay Devgn is packed with shooting schedules, and Rohit Shetty is focused on his police-based film with John Abraham. Once both wrap up their ongoing projects, they’ll begin work on Golmaal 5. Fans last saw them together in Singham Again, which unfortunately didn’t meet expectations at the box office. Currently, Golmaal 5 is in its pre-production stage and is being developed as part of one of Bollywood’s most loved comedy franchises.
What’s Happening in the Cop Universe?
While Ajay is not part of the Cop Universe right now, Rohit Shetty has big plans for it. He hinted at sequels like Simmba 2 starring Ranveer Singh and Sooryavanshi 2 with Akshay Kumar. Besides these, new standalone films are also in the pipeline, including stories of Shakti Shetty and Satya, characters introduced in Singham Again. Although Deepika Padukone’s Shakti didn’t receive much appreciation, Tiger Shroff’s Satya stole the show—paving the way for more action-packed stories ahead.
