On Jestha 19, Nepal marks a sorrowful day in its history—the tragic Royal Palace Massacre. This day remembers the late King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya, Prince Nirajan, and other royal family members who were killed in the Narayanhiti Palace in 2058 B.S.
To honor their memory, the Joint People’s Movement Committee has announced a peaceful gathering today at 5 PM at Kamaladi Ganesh Temple. Supporters and the public are invited to light candles and offer prayers for the departed souls.
The committee has requested everyone to avoid loud events or celebrations today. Instead, they urge citizens to stay respectful and join the prayer event to show national unity and remembrance.
More updates about upcoming programs will be shared soon by the organizers.
