A tragic accident in Chandranigahpur, Rautahat, claimed the lives of two people when a truck collided with an electric vehicle. The deceased are 30-year-old Dhirendra Thakur and 36-year-old Bhagiya Devi, both residents of Ramnagar-1, Sarlahi.
The crash occurred in Ward No. 1 of Chandrapur Municipality when the electric vehicle, traveling from Barhathwa to Chandranigahpur, collided head-on with a cargo truck coming from the opposite direction. The electric vehicle bore the number Bagmati Province 03-001 Ja 0452, and the truck was registered as Madhesh Province 03-001 Kha 8600.
Besides the two fatalities, two passengers are currently receiving medical treatment, while others involved sustained minor injuries. The local police are investigating the incident. This accident raises urgent concerns about road safety in the region.
