A tipper truck carrying sand caught fire on Tuesday night along the Araniko Highway in Kavrepalanchok district.
The incident occurred near Tallo Zipline area of Panchkhal Municipality–5, involving vehicle Ba 2 K 6125.
According to police, the fire broke out after the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The driver, Nabaraj Shivakoti, tried to stop the truck and disconnect the fuel pump wires and fuses, but the fire had already started.
- The truck was heading from Panchkhal to Bhaktapur.
- The fire was brought under control by around 1:30 AM.
