The deceased has been identified as Sajan Waiba from Mahabharat Rural Municipality–4, Kavre. According to police, he entered the river around 9:30 AM for a swim but was swept away by the current.
Waiba was working at the Chukhbesi-based Drinking Water Project in Temal Rural Municipality–3, where he was involved in the construction of a water tank.
The incident is under investigation, according to ASI Yuvraj KC of Pachuwarghat Police Post.
