Housefull 5 finally hit theatres on Friday, June 6, and it’s already drawing in enthusiastic crowds. With a star-packed lineup including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, the film has released in two versions—Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. Riding on franchise popularity and fan buzz, the film is enjoying a strong run at the box office.
Adding to the film’s entertainment quotient, Akshay Kumar pulled a fun stunt recently—true to Housefull style. The actor took to Instagram to share a quirky video of himself interacting with moviegoers outside a Bandra theatre. Disguised in a “killer” villain mask, Akshay went incognito to ask people what they thought of the film.
“Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull 5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala tha end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience,” he wrote in his caption, translating to:
“Just felt like it—I wore the killer mask and started interviewing people outside the theatre. I was about to get caught in the end, but escaped just in time. What an experience!”
In the video, you can see a playful Akshay talking to everyone from thrilled kids to loyal fans. Some reviews were high-energy and filled with excitement, while others gave a more understated, “Achi hai movie” or “Sahi hai movie.” Either way, the crowd seemed entertained.
The fun didn’t stop there. On Saturday night (June 7), Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and director Tarun Mansukhani made a surprise visit to a Mumbai suburban theatre, interacting with fans during a live show and adding another layer of excitement to the movie experience.
Star-Studded Mayhem
Housefull 5 boasts one of the biggest ensemble casts in Bollywood comedy history. Alongside the main trio—Akshay, Riteish, and Abhishek—the film stars Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Chitrangada Singh, Ranjeet, Nikitin Dheer, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma.
With two versions to choose from—5A and 5B—audiences can decide which chaos-filled adventure they want to dive into. Or better yet, why not watch both?
