The moment BTS fans have been waiting for is finally upon us. After what felt like an endless wait, South Korea is buzzing with excitement as five of the BTS members—RM, Jimin, Jungkook, V (Kim Taehyung), and Suga—are set to complete their mandatory military service and reunite with the group this June. The country is turning a vibrant shade of purple in celebration, with BTS Festa adding to the electrifying atmosphere.
BTS Fever Sweeps Across Seoul Ahead of OT7 Comeback
From heartfelt fan tributes to grand-scale city celebrations, the countdown to BTS’s full-group comeback is gaining momentum. With RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all scheduled for discharge within the next two weeks, Seoul is decked out like a royal welcome is underway—and in many ways, it truly is.
The streets are adorned with massive banners shouting messages like “Golden Return Jungkook,” “Jimin Is Back,” and warm congratulations for RM, affectionately called Namjoon by fans. Artistic balloon displays honour the leader, highlighting the immense love and anticipation surrounding the group’s return.
Hybe HQ, the heart of ARMY gatherings, has transformed into a pilgrimage site, proudly displaying the iconic BTS emblem as fans gather for photo moments. Subways and buses are covered with images of the members, including one bus dedicated to V that reads, “Welcome Back Our Brightest Star.” The city’s usual traffic jams now carry a touch of BTS magic.
A Special 12th Anniversary and Reunion Marked by BTS Festa
This year’s BTS Festa is especially meaningful, marking both the group’s 12th debut anniversary and their long-awaited reunion after nearly three years apart. The celebration kicks off on May 31 with the release of a cheerful video titled “[2025 FESTA] BTS News” and continues throughout June.
The Festa’s theme, “Twelve O’Clock,” is inspired by BTS’s soothing track “00:00 (Zero O’Clock),” symbolizing fresh starts and new chapters. A highlight will be a two-day offline event on June 13 and 14 at South Korea’s KINTEX 2 Exhibition Centre, drawing fans from around the world.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect. RM and V will be discharged on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11, with Suga set to finish his service on June 21. This reunion doesn’t just celebrate BTS’s incredible journey—it marks the beginning of an exciting new era with all seven members back together, ready to make history once more.
