A heartbreaking incident occurred in Kalikot district as a woman died after falling from a steep cliff while on her way to seek medical treatment.
The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Kali Nepali, a resident of Khandachakra-4. According to a family member, she slipped and fell from the Imilchi bhir near Hire chaur on Sunday evening while heading to the district headquarters, Manma, for treatment.
The cliff was just a 30-minute walk from her home, and her body was found stuck about 500 meters below, near Thamkot. Locals and police worked together to recover her body, which was then taken to the District Hospital for postmortem.
Kali had been suffering from a chronic stomach illness. Her husband, Guiya Damai, is known locally as a traditional Artist Hudke.
